Dance Academy Raid - Topici
Just been reading the topic and hearing some of the talk about venerable Old Skool dance venue Dance Academy being shut down in a raid. Its a little sad really. Are the powers that been wanting to shut down all the dance clubs now?
The Fridge in London was closed recently as well.
However it does amaze me that venue owners/operators would ever consider dealing drugs in their own establishments.............are they that hard up? (though with reports of only 200 people in the club on a Saturday, perhaps they were).
Lets hope this doesnt turn into a general closing of all the scenes clubs, having been moved to them by the CJB it could be almost the last nail in the coffin (or is that the idea?)
Founded 1991, Fantazia held the largest ever raves, during 91-93, culminating in One Step Beyond (30k). Other parties include the Big Bang@SECC, Summertime, Bournemouth (as seen ITN News). Fantazia also organised the rave on Inspector Morse and has the largest amount of rave footage in the UK. We later went on to launch the massive selling House Collection & Club Classics series of compilations.
